Chalk it up to America where Motley Crue's new album Saints of Los Angeles managed to debut at #4 on Billboard's top 100 albums sold chart. This is astounding for an 80's hair metal outfit that hasn't done this well on the charts since 1991. The band has reverted to it's older glam sound and overtly satanic tendencies that have gone underground since the early 90s. Saints of Los Angeles features album artwork depicting a crucifix composed of 4 topless women.

Lyrics to the title track include the following: So come right in We are, we are the saints Talk about a band telling you point blank where their power and prominence comes from... While some people will just see this is a lame "Christian" poiting out the obvious, which is the band really writes some crappy lyrics, it should also be noted that... Vince Neil, the band's lead singer killed a man in a car wreck, to which he states, "I should have gone to prison. I definitely deserved to go to prison. But I did 30 days in jail and got laid and drank beer, because that's the power of cash. That's f**ked up. "It's changed now. But you're 20-years-old and you've got a million dollars in your pocket and drugs and drink and women and fame and there are lawyers to protect you. We just thought we could do anything." Now he sings that he and his band mates are the Saints of Los Angeles who sold their souls... and now want you to confess and pray to them. Nifty... Doesn't get any more obvious than this folks... Here is the garbage that America is gobbling up from an older, fatter, and amazingly enough... and believe it or not an even more pathetic Motley Crue. For some reason the official video cannot be embedded but can be found easily on youtube. This is the best I can offer on the site.
