“Call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven” (Matt. 23:9).

Alone among the Founders of the United States, George Washington earned the title “Father of the Country” in recognition of his leadership in the cause of American independence. Appointed commander of the Continental Army in 1775, he molded a fighting force that gained independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

The Washington Monument is a large, white-colored obelisk at the west end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C. It is a United States Presidential Memorial constructed for George Washington.

The monument is among the world’s tallest masonry structures, standing 555 feet, 5? inches (169.29 metres) in height and made of marble, granite, and sandstone. It was designed by Robert Mills, a prominent American architect of the 1840s. The actual construction of the monument began in 1848, but was not completed until 1884, almost 30 years after the architect’s death. This hiatus in construction was due to lack of funds and the intervention of the American Civil War. A difference in shading of the marble, visible approximately 150 ft (45 m) up, clearly delineates the initial construction from its resumption in 1876.

Its cornerstone was laid on July 4, 1848; the capstone was set on December 6, 1884, and the completed monument was dedicated on February 21, 1885. It officially opened to the public on October 9, 1888. Upon completion, it became the world’s tallest structure, a title it inherited from the Cologne Cathedral and held until 1889, when the Eiffel Tower was finished in Paris, France.

The Washington Monument reflection can be seen in the aptly named Reflecting Pool, a rectangular pool extending to the west, towards the Lincoln Memorial.

The obelisk symbolized the sun god Ra and during the brief religious reformation of Akhenaten was said to be a petrified ray of the aten, the sundisk. It was also thought that the god existed within the structure.

It is hypothesized by New York University Egyptologist Patricia Blackwell Gary and Astronomy senior editor Richard Talcott that the shapes of the ancient Eygyptian pyramid and obelisk were derived from natural phenomena associated with the sun (the sun-god Ra being the Egyptians’ greatest deity). The pyramid and obelisk would have been inspired by previously overlooked astronomical phenomena connected with sunrise and sunset: the zodiacal light and Sun pillars, respectively.

The Romans were infatuated with obelisks, to the extent that there are now more than twice as many obelisks standing in Rome as remain in Egypt. All fell after the Roman period except for the Vatican obelisk and were re-erected in different locations.

As if the occult link between the Washington Monument and the sun god Ra isn’t bad enough, this information is partially inaccurate.  the obelisk predates the Egyptions and is in fact directly linked to Babylonian Baal (Ba’al) Worship.

The word OBELISK literally interpreted means “Baals shaft” or “Baals organ of reproduction”. Baal was a popular pagan diety, worshipped during even moses time, and closely associated with phallic worship.

 According to Babylon, Mystery Religion, The erect upright pointed column represents the phallus, the male sex organ, of Baal (Nimrod).

God specifically told Israel not to put a phallic pole next to his alter. Deut 16:21 “Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole beside the altar you build to the LORD your God…” God didn’t want it because this upright “steeple” tells you that you’ve just located an alter of Baal.

As Christians, I believe we should find this type of information quite disturbing. God warned us about Baal worship and yet our leaders constructed a giant alter to Baal under the guise of it being a tribute to George Washington.
