presidents related Nope, no joke. And by now this should be common knowledge. Just in case you're still living in the stone ages, and believing politics is anything more than a dog and pony show used to distract you while a continuous feedback loop of scapegoats moves in and out of office... here's food for thought.

According to the New York Post, "Obama is related to Vice President Dick Cheney through a 17th-century descendant, as well as President Bush" which of course means Bush and Cheney are also related, odd in and of itself. More...

"In addition to John Kerry, Marilyn Monroe and Princess Di and half a dozen ex-presidents, Bush is related to Pocahontas' living relatives."

The Raw Story further reveals that "Bush also turns out to be related to Vlad the Impaler -- the medieval tyrant who was one of the inspirations for the fictional "Count Dracula."

Digging a little deeper we find "Senator Obama and Hollywood heart-throb Brad Pitt are ninth cousins who share a relative who died in 1769, Senator Clinton is a ninth cousin twice removed of Pitt's partner Angelina Jolie, sharing a common ancestor who died in 1718...

Hillary Clinton is related to a number of celebrities including Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette...

John McCain is the sixth cousin of Laura Bush.

And the genealogical society has linked Sen Obama's family lineage to presidents Gerald Ford, Lyndon Johnson and Harry Truman, and to Civil War General Robert Lee.

So before you tell your kids that ANYONE can grow up to be president of the United States, maybe you should first ask yourself... "Who are we related to again? Do we have 'royal' blood?"
